Real estate is a tough, competitive business. Studies have shown that REALTORS® with one or more designations considerably increase their income-earning potential.

The Greater Harrisburg REALTORS® Institute, in partnership with the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute, the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg, and other organizations, offers a variety of designation and certification programs throughout the year. Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation (ABR®)

The goal of the 2-day ABR Designation Core Course is to establish a foundation of training, skills, and
resources to help real estate professionals succeed as a buyer’s representative. Students will learn how to build a
buyer-representative business, value the services they perform on behalf of buyer-clients, increase confidence to work toward a signed buyer representation agreement, gain methods, tools, and techniques to provide the support and services that
buyers want.  Approved for 1 Broker elective credit and 15 Hours PA Real Estate CE for the 2018-2020 CE cycle. Cost is $299.

Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP)

CI 101: Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate

CI 101 is a bedrock class for real estate practitioners at a time when risk mitigation, pricing, and cycle assurance have become critical to investors. CI 101 introduces the CCIM Cash Flow Model, a tool for ensuring your investment decisions are based on wise finance fundamentals. During the course, you will learn how to use key financial concepts such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Cap Rate, Capital Accumulation, and the Annual Growth Rate of Capital to compare different types of commercial real estate investments.  This course will teach you how to: make informed investment decisions using the CCIM Cash Flow Model; measure the impact of federal taxation and financial leverage on the cash flow from the acquisition, ownership, and disposition phases of real estate investment; and use real estate analysis tools to quantify investment return.  Cost is $1,200 for CCIM members; $1,460 for REALTORS; and $1,735 for Non-members.
