GHAR Welcomes New Government Affairs Director

ENOLA, PA (Jan. 10, 2020) – The Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) recently appointed Margaret Parsons as its new Government Affairs Director. Parsons has been appointed to address local, state, and federal public policy issues. As Government Affairs Director, she will continue GHAR’s political interests in relation to local REALTORS® and the real estate industry.

Margaret Parsons comes with a wealth of experience from NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business), where she worked as the Grassroots Manager for Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Much of her position involved working with small business owners to contact their legislators, testify before legislative committees, speak to the media, and host events with legislators. She attended the University of Scranton and received her undergraduate degree in History and attended the Catholic University of America, where she earned her PhD in American Politics.

In joining the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS®, Parsons can continue her success. Parsons will be responsible for developing communications and grassroots strategies to support the Association’s government affairs efforts. She will also work closely with the Association’s Government Affairs Committee and its Commercial Council.
